Lambda Kappa Tau is a co-ed media production society, created through a common interest in film, and established for the artistic and professional advancement of its brothers.
“Lambda Kappa Tau was founded in 2008 by a group of EMF students who wanted to pursue their love of media and film outside of the classroom. The founders sought a group centered specifically in media production, while also emphasizing the camaraderie and social aspects of a co-ed fraternity. But that didn’t exist at Towson, and so LKT was born. As more members joined and others graduated, a network began to form of active alumni who provide educational workshops, as well as job and internship opportunities. Members also routinely participate in philanthropic endeavors, organized film festivals, and competitions. In addition, the society is made up of much more than just EMF students. Media producers in majors as diverse as Theatre, Psychology, Elementary Education, English, History, and Music have all called LKT home. Lambda Kappa Tau was founded by students for students. We invite you to participate in making it the best that it can be!”
